Committee Descriptions
COMMUNICATIONS/PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE:
This committee is responsible for maintaining a positive image of the Association, increasing the visibility of the Association and to disseminate information to the media regarding the Association and the mortgage industry.
CONVENTION COMMITTEE:
This committee is responsible for the annual convention held in September of each year. The Convention Committee works with the Education Committee and staff to tie all aspects together.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION COMMITTEE:
This committee is responsible for developing educational programs for all members of the Association, and developing professional enhancement programs.
EVENTS COMMITTEE:
This committee is responsible for coordinating the monthly lunch programs; happy hours; broker poker program, and assisting at the convention. This committee works with the Education committee coordinating any speakers.
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS:
This committee shall investigate and report all matters of proposed or existing legislation or regulation, which may have an effect on the business of the Association and/or its members. This group shall act on behalf of the membership on all matters of pending legislation before the State Legislature and/or any regulatory or enforcement agency with jurisdiction affecting the mortgage lending industry or consumer credit in general.
INDUSTRY RELATIONS COMMITTEE:
This committee is responsible for promoting a CAMB presence in the industry by working with others in the industry such as the Mortgage Fraud Task Force, Foreclosure Hotline, etc.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE:
This committee is responsible for development of new members, the expansion of the Association’s membership, review of applications for membership, recommendations to the board of directors for membership approval or denial, obtaining new benefits or upgrading existing benefits for the members.
INDUSTRY PARTNERS/SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE:
This committee is responsible for development of funds to support the Association and all of the programs.
TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE:
This committee is responsible for web site redesign and development and maintenance.
